Frasers Hospitality opens Fraser Residence Putrajaya

Fraser Residence Putrajaya soft‑opened this week, marking the first Frasers Hospitality property in Malaysia and adding a new tier of serviced apartment living to the capital’s waterfront.
New serviced apartments open in Putrajaya
Located within the TERRA mixed‑use project, the development sits on the calm banks of Putrajaya Lake. The site is owned by Putrajaya Holdings Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of KLCC (Holdings) Sdn Bhd, and spans 11.5 acres of lakefront land.
The property comprises 283 contemporary units spread across four categories and nine layouts, from studio spaces to three‑bedroom lakeview apartments with balconies. Each unit includes a full kitchen and a generous living area, allowing guests to cook and relax as they would at home.

TERRA also contains a residential tower of 348 condominium units, a 170,000‑square‑foot community mall and a 35,000‑square‑foot event hall that can hold up to 700 people. The mix of retail, residential and hospitality aims to create a self‑contained lifestyle ecosystem.
Frasers Hospitality will operate the serviced apartments, targeting families and business travelers who need either long‑term stays or short visits. The brand’s entry aligns with Putrajaya’s reputation as a planned city focused on growth and modern amenities.
Amenities and community spaces
Guests can use a games room, a children’s playroom, a fully equipped gym and an outdoor swimming pool. Two on‑site dining venues, Relish and Lakeside Café, serve meals throughout the day, while meeting rooms cater to corporate needs.

The design emphasizes family‑friendly spaces without ignoring professional requirements, a balance that the brand has pursued in other Southeast Asian markets.
“The debut of Fraser Residence Putrajaya represents an important milestone for Frasers Hospitality in Malaysia. Renowned as a city defined by vision and growth, Putrajaya provides an ideal setting for an integrated development like TERRA,” said Vernon Lee, Regional Senior Vice President, Southeast Asia & Australia, Frasers Hospitality.
Operationally, the serviced apartments are managed by Frasers Hospitality staff, who handle everything from housekeeping to front‑desk services, ensuring a consistent guest experience across the brand’s global portfolio.
